# Ethereum Daily — September 5, 2026

Covering roughly September 4 – September 5, 2026.

**Roadmap.** New today: the All Core Devs Consensus call (ACDC #186) that had been billed as the decision point for the Glamsterdam Sepolia fork date took place, and the readout is in — developers tentatively pushed the Sepolia activation back from the previously proposed September 28 to **October 6, 2026 at 13:53 UTC**, citing the lack of stable devnets. The upgrade's scope (ePBS, Block-Level Access Lists, ~200M gas limit) is unchanged; this is a schedule slip, not a scope cut. Client-team preference lists for remaining scope items are still due September 10, and mainnet activation stays pointed at Q4 2026.

**Governance.** No material new development since yesterday; EIP-8141 (Frame Transactions) remains "Scheduled for Inclusion" for Hegotá, and the EIP-8130 interoperability question is still unresolved.

**Institutional and corporate adoption.** No major new development since yesterday's Mint Incorporation (NASDAQ: MIMI) tokenization announcement; no further details or timeline have emerged.

**Stats.** ETH has pulled back from yesterday's rally, trading around $2,457 (down roughly 1.5% on the day), giving back part of the prior day's ~5% run past $2,511 amid a broader crypto-market pullback that also hit Bitcoin. The validator set kept growing: 906,579 active validators (up from 905,998), with 42.7 million ETH staked (35.04% of supply, up from 35.03%). The entry queue eased slightly to 2,092,043 ETH with a 36-day, 8-hour wait, while the exit queue stayed negligible at 160 ETH with a 4-minute wait. Gas fell to a 0.053 gwei average (from 0.078 gwei). DeFi TVL sits at roughly $49.13 billion. ETF flows: September 3 was revised up to a $141.4 million net inflow (from the $2.9 million first reported), and September 4 came in flat at $0.0 million net; cumulative net inflows since launch now stand at roughly $13.16 billion.
