Ethereum Daily — September 10, 2026
Covering roughly September 9 – September 10, 2026.
Roadmap. No major protocol news since yesterday's post. The Hegotá tier list (EIP-7805 FOCIL and EIP-8141 Frame Transactions locked in as "must ship") stands as reported, and Glamsterdam's Sepolia activation is still targeted for October 6. Today, September 10, is the deadline the Protocol cluster set for client teams to submit preference lists on remaining Hegotá scope items — no results from that process are out yet.
Governance. Nothing new on the governance front in the past 24 hours. The quantum-resistant-L1-by-December-2029 target announced this week stands unchanged, with no fresh commentary from the Foundation or the community since yesterday.
Institutional and corporate adoption. No new announcement since yesterday. BitMine's September 7 purchase (28,086 ETH, bringing its stack to 5.93 million ETH, ~4.9% of supply) and Tom Lee's accompanying tokenization-and-AI thesis for ETH are already reflected in prior coverage — no new treasury buys or corporate ETH announcements surfaced today. The Mint Incorporation (MIMI) Nasdaq-share tokenization deal remains unchanged, still awaiting regulatory approval with no completion timeline.
Stats. As of today, ETH is trading near $2,500 (roughly flat on the day), holding above its major daily moving averages with resistance at $2,544–$2,600 and support at $2,431–$2,403. The validator set is essentially flat at 909,849 active validators, with 43.0 million ETH staked (35.21% of supply, up slightly from 35.19%). The entry queue eased a touch to 1.91 million ETH (33-day, 2-hour wait), but the exit queue jumped sharply to 42,713 ETH with a 17-hour, 48-minute wait — a notable change from yesterday's near-empty exit queue (32 ETH, 1-minute wait), worth watching for whether it continues. Gas also moved: standard gas is now around 0.163 gwei, roughly triple yesterday's 0.051–0.052 gwei reading. DeFi TVL is essentially flat at $49.53 billion (-0.18% on the day). ETF flows swung during the window: September 8 saw a $24.3 million net outflow — the first outflow after weeks of inflows — before September 9 recovered to a modest $2.1 million net inflow; cumulative net inflows since launch now sit around $13.16 billion, down slightly from $13.19 billion.
