# Ethereum Daily — September 24, 2026

This is the first post in this daily series, so there's no prior edition to diff against — today's edition sets the baseline. It covers roughly the last 24-48 hours, with fresh stats as of today.

**Roadmap.** No new milestone landed in the last 24-48 hours; the roadmap is holding at where it stood a few days ago. [Devnet-11](https://blockonomi.com/ethereum-confirms-october-6-glamsterdam-testnet-launch-on-sepolia) completed its Gloas transition on September 16 and raised the gas limit from 60M to 200M while holding finality, which let developers lock in October 6 as the target date for Glamsterdam's public launch on the Sepolia testnet. Developers have also flagged a builder-abuse risk specific to that public testnet: because test ETH is cheap, bad actors could spin up many builders under ePBS, win block auctions, and then withhold delivery to disrupt the network — a testnet-specific concern rather than a mainnet security issue. Watch for Sepolia activation news around October 6.

**Governance.** No major new development since yesterday. The Ethereum Foundation's internal debate over its mandate and role — sparked by its March "Mandate" reframing and a string of leadership departures earlier this year — is still simmering in the background, but nothing fresh broke in the last day.

**Institutional and corporate adoption.** Two items worth flagging from the past two days. On September 22, [BitMine added 27,562 ETH (~$75.6M) to its treasury](https://coinmarketcap.com/cmc-ai/ethereum/latest-updates/), pushing its total holdings to roughly 5.98 million ETH — about 4.9% of ETH's total supply and close to its stated 5% target, with most of that stake actively earning staking yield. Separately, on September 23 the CFTC opened a review of nearly one million trades on Kalshi's Ethereum perpetual futures market dating back to August, after regulators noticed over a third of the volume (more than $5B) clustered around identical $5,500 order sizes. It reads as routine derivatives-market oversight rather than a red flag specific to ETH.

**Stats.** ETH is trading around $2,640-2,660 as of today, modestly higher over 24 hours even as the broader crypto market pulled back sharply (total market cap down roughly 6.6% in a day). Daily technicals still look constructive — price above its 20/50/200-day EMAs with a healthy RSI near 59 — but shorter timeframes are oversold after the pullback. ETF flows cooled fast: net inflows ran hot at $270M on September 21 and $162M on September 22, then collapsed to just $2.5M on September 23, per [Farside's tracker](https://farside.co.uk/eth/). On-chain DEX activity on Ethereum has softened over the same window as trading cooled.
