# Ethereum Daily — September 29, 2026

This edition covers roughly the last 24 hours (September 28–29) and is diffed against [yesterday's post](https://julienberanger.com/eth-daily-2026-09-28).

**Roadmap.** No material new development since yesterday. Glamsterdam prep continues toward the pinned Sepolia testnet activation on October 6 at 13:53 UTC, with EIP-7928 (Block-Level Access Lists) still described as "on the home straight." One clarifying detail surfaced today: the Ethereum Foundation is still only committing to a Q4 2026 window for mainnet, with no firm date attached — so the October 6 test is a testnet milestone, not a mainnet launch signal.

**Governance.** Nothing new. No fresh developments on the Ethereum Foundation mandate-and-culture debate since yesterday's post.

**Institutional and corporate adoption.** No genuine new development in the last 24 hours. ARK Invest's tokenized Venture Fund remains the most recent notable item, already covered previously; nothing further has surfaced today.

**Stats.** ETH is trading around **$2,650**, down about 1.1% on the day and down roughly 3.6% over the past week — a slight easing from yesterday's steeper 4.5% weekly decline, though price remains capped below resistance near $2,780–2,800. The pullback is being attributed to elevated Treasury yields, dollar strength, and derivatives deleveraging rather than any Ethereum-specific news. Spot ETH ETFs booked a **$17.1M net inflow today**, marking a seventh straight day of inflows — smaller than the $86.95M print from a few days ago, suggesting inflows are moderating alongside the price pullback. A new data point worth flagging: on-chain whale activity has spiked sharply, with large transactions (over $1M) up nearly 500% week-over-week (from about 1,200 to over 7,100), and large holders accumulating roughly 320,000 ETH (~$864M) even as spot price softened — a divergence between short-term price action and large-holder positioning. DeFi TVL on Ethereum remains essentially flat around $53B. Despite today's dip, ETH is still up more than 9% since the start of September.
