Ethereum Daily — October 13, 2026

This edition covers roughly the last 48–72 hours (October 10–13) and is diffed against the October 10 post.

Roadmap. No material new development since the last post. Glamsterdam (the combined Amsterdam/Gloas fork) is still running on Sepolia following its October 6 activation, with the opt-in 200 million gas limit and enshrined proposer-builder separation (ePBS) under live observation. No mainnet date or final mainnet gas-limit decision has surfaced in the last few days; it remains an "H2 2026" target.

Governance. No new governance development since the last post. The EIP-8363 staking-reward-burn fight stays on the track set after its October 1 withdrawal from the Hegota fork scope — a dedicated issuance-policy process starting with a forum at Devcon in November — and no new Ethereum Foundation leadership or structural news has emerged.

Institutional and corporate adoption. Mostly a continuation, not a new story: BitMine added another 12,532 ETH over the past week, taking its stack to about 6.03 million ETH (~4.9% of the 122.1 million ETH circulating supply) as of October 12. That keeps it tracking toward the roughly 6.105 million ETH (5%) level Tom Lee called a "hard cap" at TOKEN2049 — with the buying pace barely denting the remaining headroom. No other treasury firm has stepped up to fill the gap, and no new institutional entrant or tokenization deal broke in the last 48 hours.

Stats. New since the last post: ETH has kept drifting lower, trading around $2,450 as of early October 13, down roughly 3.7% day-over-day and further below the $2,480–$2,505 range seen October 9–10. Spot ETH ETFs extended their losing streak to a 10th straight day on October 12, with $85.4 million in net outflows — BlackRock's ETHA accounted for about $75.1 million of that, Grayscale's Ethereum Mini Trust another $10.3 million — versus $56.1 million on October 9. Cumulative net ETF inflows since launch stand at about $13.17 billion, with net assets around $15.86 billion (about 5.15% of ETH's market cap). On staking, the validator exit queue that spiked after MetaMask Staking's withdrawal has eased to roughly 767,000 ETH, down from a peak near 851,000 on October 2, though still elevated versus late September; no fresher print has landed since. DeFi TVL and L2 gas-fee data show no new figures worth flagging today.
